Bio 

Simply put, I am a story-teller. I believe in working hard to craft the strongest messaging, develop out-of-sight campaigns, and utilize strategic thinking that results in getting people talking.

I serve as a media relations’ manager for both multicultural and general consumer practices at Golin, and act as the expert in engaging consumers, and business audiences across earned, owned, shared and paid media. Prior to joining the Golin team, I was the former corporate communications coordinator at Johnson Publishing Company—the preeminent publisher of EBONY and JET magazines and owner of Fashion Fair Cosmetics. In this role, I managed day-to-day PR and communications operations.

Previously, I worked at Burrell Communications—the leading African-American marketing, advertising and PR agency. At Burrell, I worked on the McDonald’s account, developing tactical and strategic plans for various product launches and PR/engagement initiatives targeted to an African-American consumer market. Following my undergraduate course work, I worked at Tierney Communications, a full service advertising and PR agency in Philadelphia.

Over the years I have covered a number of industries spanning the consumer, tech, publishing, marketing and B2B sectors. 

I am from the city so nice they named it twice, Kansas City, MO and I graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies and minor in English.
